Equipment

  • Measuring spoons
  • Knife (for slicing ginger)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1/2- inch piece fresh ginger peeled
  • 1 cup almond milk or your preferred milk
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or dairy-free yogurt
  • 1 –2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • Ice cubes optional

Instructions

  • Place strawberries, fresh ginger, almond milk, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, and sea salt into the blender.
  • Blend on low speed initially, then gradually increase to high speed and blend for about 30 seconds or until the smoothie is smooth and creamy.
  • If the smoothie is too thick, add more milk; if it is too thin, add more yogurt.
  • Pour into glasses, garnish with crushed ginger snaps or graham crackers, and a sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired.
  • Enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more honey or maple syrup.
  • If you want a dairy-free option, opt for coconut or almond yogurt.
  • For a thicker smoothie, use frozen strawberries or add a few ice cubes.
